I am confused. Several references have been made to books on the DEVLIN family of Co. Tyrone. I just found my local library listing:
(CUT AND PASTE)
Title : The story of an Irish sept microform : the O'Develins of Tyrone, now represented by the families of Devlin, Develin, Develyn, Develon and Devellen / by Joseph Chubb Develin.
Author : Develin, Joseph Chubb, b. 1889.
Publisher : [Lynchburg, Va. : s.n., 1937]
Subject Heading(s) : O'Develin family.
Description : 142 leaves.
Notes : Publication information from leaf 6.
Series Title : Genealogy and local history ;
Holdings : Item Holdings
Location Call Number Volume Material Status
MORRISTOWN Local History Room G 4994 MICROFICHE Available/NonReq
But the reference to this or a similar book in IRISH RECORDS, SOURCES FOR FAMILY AND LOCAL HISTORY, by James G. Ryan, 1997 is
Develin, J. THE O'DEVLINS OF TYRONE: THE STORY OF AN IRISH SEPT. Rutland, Vermont, 1938.
Some spellings, dates and places of publication are all slightly different from one another, and from the reference to this or a similar book mentioned this past 7 months on this forum.
Also, is there a separate book written by a Robert DEVELIN?
I am researching Bridget DEVLIN, who married James GRAHAM. Their child, James GRAHAM Jr. was baptised in 1835, Killymorgan, Co. Tyrone
(near Ballygawley - southern Tyrone). Other children are Paul, Mary Jane, John and Sarah GRAHAM, all born in Ireland.
Bridget GRAHAM (widow) was in Louisville, KY by 1857, daughter, Mary Jane GRAHAM, was in Xenia, OH by ca. 1860. Any DEVLIN family members there?
