My grandfather's name was Henry Devlin. He had a number of syblings among whom there was one named Ernest. The family lived in Missouri when my grandfather was in his teens.
My grandparents and my parents lived in Denver for a time and moved to Portland, Oregon in 1943. I recall visiting another set of Devlins in the town of North Bend, Oregon probably in the late 40's or early 50's. I believe it was Dale Devlin's family that lived in North Bend. I recall no further contact with them, but they may have moved back to Denver in the 1950's.
