James was my husbands gg-grandfather. All I know is he married Bridget Rice, I don't know what year. Their son John Devlin was born in Ireland about 1858. John Devlin married Sarah Howe in Nov. 21, 1882. Don't know if there is a connection to your family of not but I'm thinking Bridget could have been James's first wife.
