My great great grandmother was Mary Devlin, b. Nov. 28, 1828 in Canada and d. Sept. 17, 1920 in North Gower, Carleton Co., Ontario. Her father was James but we don't know anything more about him. Her mother was Martha Freeland. She married George Smith, a staunch Methodist. Any chance Mary is connected to this large family of Irish immigrant Devlins? Was there a James in that group of brothers you mention?
