I am looking for info/ancestors of my grandmother, Mary DEVLIN born 1877 in Bridgeton, Glasgow. Mary, together with her sister Sarah and brother James were sent to Quarriers, Bridge of Weir on becoming orphans, and subsequently to Canada in 1889 as Home Children. Their father was James DEVLIN (d. 1888) an iron foundry worker and Margaret PETTIGREW. James was the son of James DEVLIN and Margaret HALL. My grandmother also had a sister, Margaret who married a John RANKIN and remained in Scotland, and a sister Euphemia who emigrated to Canada on her own. There was an infant, Alan who apparently died as an infant.
