New Devlin DNA surname group

For you Devlin folks working on your genealogy research, perhaps you might consider Y-DNA testing as a research tool. We are starting a Devlin DNA Surname Group through Family Tree DNA. There are already 16 Devlins that have tested in the Family Tree DNA project, and are in clan or geographical groups. Fathers pass their Y-DNA down to their sons, who pass it down to their sons, etc. So, all the males in a family line have the same Y-DNA, and would share Y-DNA test results. Family Tree DNA started a holiday season sale on Nov. 15th that will run through Dec. 31st. A good test for the fellows to take is the 37 marker Y-DNA test at $119.00US. You can purchase a test kit and pay for it on-line, the lab mails the kit to you, you swab the inside of your cheek, and then you mail the kit back to the lab. Very convenient. WorldFamilies will be hosting our Devlin webpages, and hope to have these pages up within the next week.
