I am researching my gr-gr-grandfather who could be Arthur Devlin. He supposedly changed his name to McCormick when entering this country from Ireland. I have heard he came from Antrim but have no proof. He retained the name McCormick in the U.S. He was born in 1814 and lived in the New Jersey area where he married Mariah Feurey also born in Ireland. Does anyone know if the name Devlin was common in Antrim? Any help would be appreciated.
