I'm from Paisley and have just started researching my family history. My gg grandpa was Patrick Devlin (b.1881), son of John Devlin (b.1852) and Mary Devlin (b.1854).

John's parents were Patrick and Helen Devlin, possibly from Ireland?

John and Mary were from, Paisley (possibly Inkerman) and look to have emigrated to America after 1881 and before 1883 (when their daughter Annie was born in America).

They returned to Paisley before 1901, as John (now a widower) is shown on the census.

My grandpa remembers Patrick telling him that he was raised on an Indian Reservation in Oklahoma!

Any further help would be welcome. I got my info, including copies of birth, marriage certificates etc from
