I am looking for members of my family tree. The first members would be Patrick Devlin born about 1775, supposedly a flax grower in Londonderry. He had 4 children, John Joseph born 1815(derry)& emmigrated to Philadelphia died 1893. Mark born 1821 (Derry) and Elizabeth born 1805 died in Phila. in 1884, all three
immigrated Philadelphia 13 June 1850 on the Sesquehanna
The 4th child Patrick born abt 1820 married Mary or Margaret McCann. Their children John born 11 July 1868 in Cookstown.Sisters Margaret & Mary were born in NI and died in Glasgow sometime after visiting the New York Worlds Fair[1939. Ellen married a Scot surnamed McCann, she died abt 1957 in glasgow. Son Patrick about whom I knowonly that he diedin Glasgow abt 1955. There are some stories about 3 other brothers named Thomas,Edward and Charles.
John arrived in NY (ELLIS ISLAND) 2 Sept 1893 on SS Paris out of Southampton. He married Sarah Anne Knohr 16 Nov 1897 at St. Elizabeth Church in Philadelphia. John Alexis Devlin was my great grandfather and we are searching for any history of the relatives in Scotland and still in Northern Irelad. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
