My G-G-Grandfather was John Devlin, married to Margret
Elliott from County Fermanah,N.Ireland. He died on Dec. 16th, 1871 aged 73 years in Hanover, Ontario, Canada

My g-g-g father William Devlin had a (probably older) brother John who would have been born in N. Ireland, although Fermanagh might be a stretch (William was born in Armagh), possibly as early as 1798. Most of the family emigrated to Canada in the late 1820s, with their father John having a far in Tecumseth (NW of Toronto) by 1837. I do not know for sure who the junior John married; their mother's name was Ann Beatty.
