The place name you are looking for may be Armagh--one of the other Protestant Countys in Northern Ireland, next to County Tyrone which is usually given as the ancestral home of the Devlins. My ancestor John Devlin and several of his children (inc. Hugh b. c. 1820 and William, b. 1815) came from there to Canada (Toronto area) c. 1828. They were Protestant--that is my usual screen to find Devlins who might be related.
