Hi! Your Luke Devlin was my G>G>grandfather and was married to Sarah McInally on 11 Nov 1848,the family tree is quite extensive and I have managed to go back to 1745 although not in a straight line,I have already tried to contact you through outlook express but I wasn't sure whether or not you would receive the message,if you did then please forgive the duplication. My name is Alex(ander)Devlin born 3 May 1942 mrd Alice Breslin Douris 26 Sept 1959 (yes I was only 17 Ha! Ha! and no we didn't have to get married Ha! Ha!We must have been daft Ha! Ha!)anyway my mother was Mary Devlin b.15 April 1922 ( I am illegitimate so no father)going backwards you have Alexander Simpson Devlin b.4 April 1898 mrd 31 Dec 1919 to Alexina Nolan b. 21 May 1897,Lawrence Devlin b.14 June 1857 mrd 31 Dec 1886 to Bridget McMahon then of course Luke and Sarah.I would be greatful for any info you can supply on the American side about Luke and his parents as well as my grandfathers brother also Luke who arrived in the U.S.A. in 1909 he was supposed to have been sponsored by his uncle Lawrence Devlin but I have no record of any of the 2 of them, the only relation I can find is a Joseph McMahon also given as Lukes uncle.I have written a short thesis on the direct family but it's too much to put over the net,if you wish to send me your address, I will post it on to you via Air can catch me on as I check this every day.Hope to hear from you soonest,Bye for now Alex.P.S.Do you have any 'photos?this is the one thing I am short on.
