Been searching over a year for this lady who is my grt grandmother. She is suppose to have been in S.C. and I don't know who her parents were. Please read notes for story, supposedly Sarah was raised by a family named ROUNDTREE. Any and all leads appreciated. Bill Cook, wcook14024@aol.com 2. LAMBERT CLAYTON2 COOK (HENRY1) (Source: Lois London, family info, letter 1997..) was born 1828 in Murphy, Cherokee Co., N.C., and died 1892 in unknown. He married (1) SARAH DEVELIN July 1856 in Unknown. He married (2) BETTY UNKNOWN Aft. 1884 in Probably N.C. Notes for LAMBERT CLAYTON COOK: In Grandpa James Cook's bible which is in the possession Of Rick Allen Cook of San Leandro, Ca. the following are listed: Henry Cook april, 1771, Elizabeth Cook, Dec. 24, 1816, Thomas Cook, June 11, 1815, Fanny P. Cook, may 31, 1820, Collie Cook, 1-15-1827 (bible reads 15th day of 1827) Family sources say that Clayton was a Methodist preacher, After Sarah died of the measles in about March 1883-1885, Clayton married a woman by the name of Betty ?. Clayton and Betty had no children. SOURCE: 1860 Ivylog, Union Co. Ga. census lists Claytons age 33 and Sarahs age 19. With child named Lou Ellen age 3. It also lists James GW Birthplace as Georgia. NOTE ON SARAH: Family sources say that Sarah was orphaned at an early age and was raised by a family named, ROUNDTREE.
