I am interested in hearing from anyone who is researching the name DEVITT in Quebec. My GG-Grandfather was William Devitt. I have some information on his descendants to share but not much on his ancestry. His daughter Jane Devitt Menard/Maynard (1860-1930) list Ireland as her father's birthplace. The Devitt family resided in Manchest NH in abt 1860 and then moved to the area of Iberville/Missiquoi County PQ.
