My name is Loretta Robbins and through my mothers side of the family I have traced my great grandmother whos name is Elsie Devitt. Her Fathers name was George Devitt and from the best of what I have been able to find out so far both of his parents came from Ireland. By what I have been able to find out he may have been born in 1891 somewhere in NY. He was also married more than once by the look of it or had children with both women with step children with one. I am not sure if this line of Devitts has a connection but I would be greatful for any help. If this is my George then he is my great granmother Elises father. She married a Lester Francis Smith and they had several children one of whom was my grandmother Gloria Evelyn Smith. I am hoping that I may have found the right line.
