Hi there,
I'm Morrison, previously Devitt. I have recently started looking into my fathers family history, a father i have never really known, as i have been diagnosed with a genetic condition which is inherited. I have discovered that My Great Grandfather was a McDevitt and dropped to Devitt when they came to Britain. The McDevitt were from Ct. Cork, mostly from around Cork city. They were also 'famous' Pianists. Funnily enough i also play the piano. That is as far as i have got past my father from when my mother met him and my grandfather, from other members of my mums family. I know this is a year late but i hope it helps you along the path.
