Looking for parents of Rev. Daniel DeVinne, born in Ireland 1 Feb 1798, brought to the Troy, NY, area as a child. Became a Methodist minister and served in churches in Albany and Brooklyn. In 1819 was in Franklin, LA, near New Orleans. One of his sons was born 1828 in Stamford , CT. He spent some time as a circuit rider up and down the Hudson River area. Known sons: Theodore Low DeVinne (printer and typographer) and Daniel S. DeVinne. Died 10 Feb 1883.
