Karen,

My great grand father, John Deviney born 1867 was not of native American descent. He could speak very little English. We have been told of a Dutch Descent. He came to Kentucky with his mother Birchie Deviney. He married in 1890 in Graves CO. KY. He is listed as being born in Il. We don't know if that is Illonois (State) or Ireland. John's mother was listed as divorced or widowed. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jean
