Margaret Deveny, the daughter of Andrew Deveny, was married to James Ferguson II. I mistakenly entered the same information for her cousin, also named Margaret and the daughter of William Deveny. The relationship between Abraham Robinson and Hannah Deveny, and whether their daughter Mary married Aaron Deveny, is uncertain. Two other researchers more closely related to this part of the family, have found some information that supports this relationship, and some that suggests otherwise. I await their further research and conclusions.
All of my research has been on the descendents of the Aaron Deveny who moved to North Carolina in 1770. Sources for that part of the family include census, deeds, wills, birth and death certificates, marriage licenses, Social Security applications, etc. All other information on earlier generations came from other researchers or from secondary sources (Raymond Devinny's book, Famous Southern Families Vol IX and XX, etc.).
My hard disk crashed in early February, and I've been unable to access my own Family Page to update the reports with additional information and corrections. While I like the FTM software, the technical support isn't the least bit helpful in answering my simple request to delete my family page. It seems they track the page creators identity through a cookie file. After reinstalling my software and data files, FTM no longer recognize me as the page owner, even when I enter my ID and password. I'll just have to persist until I can get the page with my reports deleted, and then look elsewhere for a means of posting reports online.
