Bob,..have not found a connection and doubt I ever will because the Devines I've been looking into are family of my Aunt Mildred's husband.I researched the branch only because I was looking for my Aunt's grandchildren. Our g-gramma left the family bible to Mildred, Mildred should have passed it down.It was only a week or so ago that I actually found them!Been looking for 2 years (neither of them has ever seen the bible so I suspect either the historical society has it or my Uncle Orville sold it to that antique dealer along with everything else.) All I will do at this point is try to learn about the actual lives of the past 7 generations (to share with my Devine cousins),..
I am responding because of your name,.. Decker! My roots revolve around 300 years in NY,.. mostly Rockland, Dutchess, Ulster/ Sullivan /Delaware, Otsego / Montgomery, and Schoharie Counties in NY.However, my actual gramma, Irene Eugenia Cook married a Eugene Decker and they resided in Jefferson, Schoharie Co., NY.I did recently acquire Eugene's will, so I know a little something about his sibs - wondering if you know of them or have them in your data:
1 -- EUGENE DECKER was born August 27, 1917 in unknown location; home was in Jefferson, Schoharie Co., NY, and died June 1976; Will probated Aug 18 1976; d. in Veterans Hosp. in Albany, NY.He married IRENE EUGENIA COOK, daughter of ADELBERT COOK and MINNIE HOUGHTON.
Obituary of gramma Irene:

This is probably him in the SSDI:

born 8 Nov 1903died 6 July 1992
*Hannah might have given him some of Eugene's land, explaining why he moved to Jefferson.
5 -- LOUISE DECKER, b. last known to be of East Aurora, NY c/o Ess-Kay Farms.; m. (--?--) PANGBURN.
6 -- JACKSON DECKER, b. address was unknown, however in a letter written by Hannah, it suggests; d. that he was living in the Schoharie Co. area..
There may have been more children in this family,.. it's just that as of 1976 these were living.I did meet Hannah Sternberg and Eugene,... never the others.
