Just found your posting.
Recent info I have on Juliette Devin who was at Drake University..a full professor of English..from 1935 until her retirement in 1962. The was then unmarried and living with her mother, Rose. Juliette C. Devin, it has been told me, was my aunt. Her birth date was 28 Jan 1897..death date Feb 1965 and lived in California at the time of her death. You will find this in her social security index.
What started all this was a letter from a Mr. Devin...talking about his daughter, Juliette at Drake and congratulating my mom for making him an invisible grandfather. He seemed at the time he had a illness like parkinson.....shaking right hand when he wrote. He worked near the courthouse in Downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Yes, both Juliette and Yvonne were born in France..Father and mother were born in Iowa///but that could read Ohio in some records.
Hoped this helped you a little. Hope I find out who I'm from someday. (smile)
