Is there currently a group looking into the DNA of this surname? If I understand correctly, in order to use the DNA Y-chromosome test to trace this family, I would need to locate the son of a son ... Below is a list I have created of known male descendants of my “brick wall” DAVAR. I would appreciate any additions, but I’d LOVE to locate a male cousin who would be willing to take & share the DNA test and provide a well documented tree dating back to one of my own ancestors. I have never met anyone who would qualify as “a DAVAR son of a DAVAR son” or I’d look closer to home. (Generation 1) Jesse Davar born 1780 (Generation 2) Male Descendants of Jesse Davar Wylia Dever born 1816 Ira Guy Davar born 1818 David Devers born 1830 (Generation 3) Male Descendants of Wylia Dever David M.
