I am the sister to Thomas Fairbrother, just read this forum, if you read carefully you will see this family spells DEVEREUX, with out an "A", such as in Devereaux. The family Devereaux are related to a John Devereaux , that went to Irland around 1066, just after William the Conquer. For Some reason it seems that the "A" was added then. He was brother to Robert d'Evereux,(our connection) whom both came with William the Conquer from Normandy. Their father was Richard the I, 3rd Duke of Normandy. I have an old News paper artical on John Devereaux of Irland, are interested in it?? I could sent it to you.
