My Great Grandmother Nelson's maiden name was Devereaux. Her family was from around the Busti,(Penn.?)and Jamestown, Salamaca areas of New York state. They didn't leave untill the early 1900's to move to Michigan. My Great Granddad moved to work for Ford and his $5 day. I may be able to help you and/or any one else who has Devereaux roots in this area. We have a data base of our line that my grandmother has handed down to us and has been maintained with our Michigan people. Also, I have a picture that was taken around 1909 at a Devereaux reunion (somewhere in Pennsylvania at a home/resort of a relative)that I scanned and am willing to share by E-mail. It's in a GIF format so you should be able to open it up in Word or some other program. We have identified aboout 15 of the people in the picture and would love to identify more of them. Maybe you would be able to help there. The picture had to have been taken around 1909 because of the ages of my grandmother and her siblings. Also her great grandfather, Richard Devereaux, who is right in the center of the picture died shortly after.
