I am seeking information about Amanda & Lewis Devereaux, children of (----?---) Devereaux and wife, (---?---) Bailey.
Amanda & Lewis Devereaux are mentioned in an 1817 entry in the journal of my g.g. grandfather, Ansel Udell. He lived in Ashtabula, OH. He describes their visit to his family and refers to them as "cousins." It seems apparant that the mother (unnamed) of Amanda & Lewis Devereaux is sister to his mother, Phebe (Bailey) Udell.
Phebe (Bailey) Udell escorted her neice & nephew back to their home in Busti, NY.
Any help will be appreciated. Am willing to share any of my information that can help you or anyone else.
