I am directly decended from Phillip Devers & he is my great great great great grandfather
luckily for you, i know from family stories that he was from kentucky then moved to louisiana where he joined the militia during the war of 1812 and fought in the battle of new orleans
he & catherine moved to the future texas and he was involved in the texas war of independence and its beginnings
he was killed when on his way to fight at the battle of san jacinto when he was ambushed by a mexican and he later died of a gunshot wound
