I believe we may have corresponded before and I failed to reply back to you.
With the details you have provided, Sarah's father was most likely Alva M. Devers, the oldest son of Alexander and Penelope Devers of Gentry Co., Mo.
Alva did have two brothers who were old enough at the time of Sarah's birth to have been her father, but both died in the 1860's, but Alva died around 1913, which matches the date of death you provided.
Alva was in the First Missouri Confederate Brigade and was at Vicksburg. He did marry after the war and had a large family. Alva and his family are buried in the cemetery in Pattonsburg, Mo.
