Am looking for information in regards to Evrett and Elizabeth Devers, parents to my great-grandmother, Flora Mae Devers Wood. Is believed that they were Cherokee, possibly from Alabama originally.
Story told that Evrett's mother (also named Elizabeth!) came to Texas in 1836, just prior to the Trail of Tears.
Would like info on her, if possible, in particular, am looking for her maiden name, who her husband was, and her daughter-in-law's maiden name.
Anything would help! I know nothing of this family!
