I am looking for Margaret Dever's marriage records, or some proof that she married and left Giles Co. Tennessee. Margaret was called "Maggie" born June 18, 1809 in the newly formed county of Giles which broke off from Maury County that same year. She is the daughter of Charles W. Dever born May 14, 1771 in Virginia. Margaret is my great-great aunt. Family says she married John McCormick. I have not be able to find the right John, however there were several John McCormick's in early Giles County. She was 21 years of age when her father died and the family divided his property including 224 acres of land on Agnew Creek in Giles County. That county record shows her maiden name of Dever, but a sister was with her married name, so I believe Maggie married after 1830. Any help will be appreciated.
