John DEVER - Germany/MD/PA 1800s

Looking for any information on the family of John Dever, born about 1773 in Germany. Came to the U.S.in late 1700s and settled in Maryland. Fought in War of 1812 and fought under General Harrison on the frontier. Moved to Beaver County, PA sometime before 1820.

John married Elizabeth Shafer about 1800. They had eight-possibly nine- children: Isaac, Elizabeth Torrence, Ann Conley, David, William, Margaret Craig, John, and Sarah Spears and (maybe) unknown daughter who died between 1820 and 1830 censuses.

John died in 1849. His daughter Ann was my ggg-grandmother.
