Re: Patrick Dever

My Great Great Grandfather was a Patrick Dever of Donegal Ireland. The families immigrated to the U.S.A. in the 1800's to eventually settle in Philadelphia where my Great Grandfather was born his name was Daniel Joseph Dever, date of birth 11/11/1868 he was a Seaman on the S.S. Sierra. He did his Elementary Education at the Manyunk Parish School. Catholic. Daniel immigrated to Australia in 1901, married a non- Catholic and lost all contact with his American family because of that. I have a posting on this forum if you look up my name with either Patrick or Daniel I have left a small story of my family history.
This may be of some help. Regards Jenny Szabo.
