I have not currently been researching the Dever family so have not found additional information on this line. Richard and Grace Dever were transported to America which would discount that they were in the immediate lineage of nobility, however I do believe that they descent from the de Veres of England. Nothing I have read since posting my message has come to light by other researchers to confirm that there was a Scottish connection (how this got started I do not know), however Devers (with it various spellings) can be found in Scotland and Ireland.
I feel the argument and documentation I have submitted is as likely to be the origin of Richard and Grace as any advanced to date.
