Pat,
I'm related to ALEXANDER DEVER, ARTHUR DEVER, ALVA DEVER,and JAMES M. DEVER...
ALEXANDER WAS BROTHER TO ARTHUR DEVERS...
ALVA DEVER and JAMES M. DEVER were (I think, will have to check)were cousin's...
My gggguncle MARTON PARIN was UNCLE to JAMES and ALVA DEVER..
I'm not sure if they were from GARRARD CO. KENTUCKY or not....I know my ggggUncle MARTIN PARTIN married SOPHIE
MERRITT d/o of SAMUAL MERRITT and PEGGY BROWN in GARRARD CO. in 1816... SHOT-GUN WEDDING I THINK... ha, ha..
ALL these DEVER MEN rode with QUANTRILL and BLOODY BILL ANDERSON in the CIVIL WAR...
After the war. one or two of them rode with the JAMES GANG
ALL FOUR OF THESE BOYS DIED AT AN EARLY AGE.... maybe one of the boys might have reached to be 22-24 yrs old when he died...
Brian C. Partin..
