Hi, I wouldnt know anything about your Patrick Dever,but there was an emigration of people from Donegal to Mayo in the 17th century,which is why you get so many names that are primarily thought of as Ulster names in Mayo like Gallagher ,O'Donnell, Patten (O'Peatain), Davitt (various forms) and others.
