Ruth, disregard the James being the father of Henry. William J. Dever of California, is my cousin and we have both worked on our line. I beleive the James he is referring to has been proven to be incorrect. A few years ago, someone wrote a book on the Dever's and as I remember it, had contact with a descendent of that Henry. He was not part of our family. Your and my Dever lines descend from Henry of Nelson Co. KY. We do however have a mutual cousin still living in Elizabethtown, KY who still believes that Henry, son of James is our Henry. But the author of the book says she has proof that he isn't. Pati
