In the course of my investigating the Dever(s) family, I have learned that they were quite prolific and that many of the family names were repeated each generation. I will share with you all of the Edward Dever(s) I have.
From a birth record at Lehigh Co Courthouse, Allentown: Edward Devers b. 9-28-1898 to Father: Edward C. Devers, a laborer from Allentown, and Mother: Elizabeth (Lizzie) Dollar from Catasaqua. From the Allentown City Directory:
1887-1892: Edward C. Devers, laborer, boarder at 502 Railroad St.
1900-Frank Devers, a laborer, wife Mary, sons James, Edward D., Neil, lived at 214 Chew St.
1905-Edward D. Devors (prob. misspelling), a silkworker, lived at 215 Chew St.
1910-1945-Edward D. Devers, a silkworker,railroader,brakeman for Lehigh Valley RR, lived at 336 N. 2nd St.
1910-Edward J. Devers, a laborer, lived at 634 N. 2nd St.
I should add, in case you are not familiar with Allentown, that the above mentioned addresses are extremely close to eachother. In every case I've found the entire families lived together or boarded together.
Most if not all of the above listed Devers are related to my branch which was brought to America by Francis X. Dever in 1868 from Co Donegal.
Best of luck to you in your search. Let me know if I can be of help with resources in this area.
