Colleen,
YES ! I am interested !
Something you said is VERY interesting. You said that you have a record of a Edward C. Dever in Allentown PA, married to Lizzie Dollar. You give a date of 1898.
Edward Dever's son William of Blairsville, PA, had a son Edward C. Dever, born in 1833. This would have been in Derry Township, Westmoreland County. Now, this Edward C. Dever died in 1872 in a train crash, but he had a son who moved to California, and that son had a son, Edward Charles De Vere - my grandfather.
Edward C. Dever who was born in 1833 had a brother Dennis, and Edward's wife was named Mary Ann (Nancy) Richard/Richert.
I am astonished to find that another Edward C. Dever was living in PA a generation later. My own family came to California in 1908, and I am sure that the Edward in Allentown is not a direct relative, but I am very intrigued. He is probably a relative, since this name is unusual. .

Any more info on this family ?

Thanks,

David
