Charlie "B" stands for "Charlie à Bibiane (his mother's name)".
Charles Deveau was born at Fatima on 28 Jan 1891; married at Etang-du-Nord on 27 Jul 1912 to Marguerite Deveau, daughter of Nectaire & Luce Larade of Cheticamp. He returned to Cheticamp after the birth of their daughter Marie in 1912. Marguerite died there, and he remarried there to Josephine Roach in 1963, daughter of Pepin & Louise Doucet. Josephine was the widow of Patrick Boudreau.
Charles parents were Jean Deveau and Bibiane Deraspe who married at Etang-du-Nord on 13 Oct 1885. The Deveau line goes back to Cheticamp, as does the Derapse line to Margaree.
