John William Henry Roach and Marie Elizabeth Deveau were my GGG grandparents. I have been successful in taking the Deveau line back, but not so with the Roach. I know absolutely nothing about John William Henry Roach, but believe that he may have come from England.
John William Henry Roach and Marie Elizabeth Deveau were married on September 5, 1853. Given that their daughter Martha was married at the Anglican Church in Yarmouth, it could well be that this couple was also married in an Anglican Church. I am not sure if they were married in Yarmouth County or Digby County, both in Nova Scotia.
There are three children that I know of that were born to this couple, but there probably were more.
Mary Elizabeth (born December 29, 1850)
Edmond (born August 24, 1854)
Martha Roach (born March 29, 1862, died February 3, 1940)
Martha was married to Peter Muise. She died in Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia.
