My Grandmother was, she was called Ella, DEVEAU born July 21, 1887 in Nova Scotia. Her parents were WALLACE DEVEAU and SYLVIA ? DEVEAU. Her mother died when she was around 13 and her father remarried. I do not know the name of second wife. I understand that between both marriages, there were about 11 children. I know that one sister was called Janie and another called Lizzie. My grandmother Ella had a daughter on Feb. 14, 1908 and named her Mereta. I believe my Grandmother had a child out of wedlock or was married prior to my Grandfather as my Grandparents married on May 11, 1912 in Chelsea, Mass.. She must have moved back to Salmon River after the marriage as their daughters Doris born May14,1913 and Bertha born August 9, 1915, were born in Salmon River. My Grandfather was Remy Fauquet from France. Has anyone heard of my Grandmother, Ella Deveau from Salmon River, Digby County, Nova Scotia???? Help. I would be forever greatful for any assistance.
