That's a very good possibility. I can't verify the father of William O. and don't know any of his brothers/sisters. It's very possible he had a brother named Isaac and a son named Isaac. Do you have anything that verifies Daniel as the father of William O'Brien? I've been told the same thing you said, I just can't find it anywhere. I do know both William O. and William N. are buried in Pyle cemetary in Kingsport. Please let me know what you may have and I'll keep digging to see if I can help you.
