I just now ran across this post, and recently finished a (12 point) DNA sampling, whereas I am an identical match to Malcolm Holleman DeVaughn (I haven't been able to contact him, so I am appending here).

Although my present interest obviously is whatever connections might explain our DNA match. A quick google indicates that both our family lines had Isham males during the mid to late 1700's in Virginia and North Carolina, and members from both the DeVaughn and Hicks Families moved to Georgia around 1800.

The really "strange" part of all this is that I have two Holleman brothers buried in my yard... since 1862, apparently with NO connection to either family. Needless to say, I have some questions.
