I can not help you with Sarah's death, but Isaac Gant was a brother to my great great grandfather, James Gant. Their father was Lunsford Gant. After I read a trail of messages starting on the Gant GenForum and saw who Sarah married I looked for the DeVaughn family on the 1880 census cd. They are in Itawama County, Mississippi and their name is misspelled DIVORGH. I'm sure we have all run across all the misspellings on the censuses !! Hamelton (spelled that way on census) and Sarah are on page 443B and a William Gant is listed on page 490B. She had a brother named William and I would think that this is him. my e-mail address is I would love to exchange information with you.
