My records show a William DeVaughm in the 1800 Nash County, NC census born 1778, died 1854. He is believed to be William DeVaughn, son of Samuel DeVaughn, Sr. Also have a William Devaun listed in Edgefield County, SC in 1810. William DeVaughn was listed 1811 in Edgefield County, SC. Believe that DeVaughn & Devaun are one in the same. This is all I have.
