Hi Mike,

The names Michael, Patrick and Mary certainly appear throughout my family, line right down to the present day, as my name is the female equivalent of Patrick. It may be that your Michael's father was Owen's brother or cousin. It's the same time period anyway. Owen emigrated to England around 1850, with his 7 children. He died in Preston in 1851. If you come across Owen Devaney again in your research, please let me know. Right now I am looking for leads on where to find Devaneys in County Mayo, and Foxford looks like a good place to search.
