Hi Michael,

My Devaney family came from County Mayo. My GGGgrandparents were Owen (Eugene )(b. 1801) and Mary Devaney (b. 1811). They had 7 children to my knowledge: Bridget (b. 1833), Ann (b. 1835) (my GGgrandmother), James
(b. 1837), William (b. 1839), Nial (1843), Owen (b. 1845) and Mary (b. 1849).
I suppose they may have had a son named Michael too. They are certainly the right age. The name Michael appears in my family. My GM had a brother named Michael, but her father's name was also Michael. We may have a connection.

My Devaneys emigrated to England around 1850 and settled in Preston, Lancashire.

What do you know about the Devaneys of Foxford?

Pat
