In my DEVINNY Family Tree that my G-Uncle Raymond C. Devinny published in 1975, I have many different spellings. It has been changed over the generations by careless hands. These are the spellings I have come across in my tree:
Deveny, Deveany, Devinny, Devinney, DeViney, DeVinney, DeViny. My line came from a William DEVENY who immigrated from Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ireland in 1720, to Monmouth County, New Jersey. His children went to Pennsylvania and North Carolina. If you need Info or can fill in my blanks, contact me. I am trying to get info together to be able to publish a newer version in a few years.
