Hello, I am looking for info on a Patrick Devaney in my family. It seems my Patrick was born abt. 1835 in Ireland. He died 4/1894 in Vail, IA. I know he had 2 sons John b. 5/1858 and Michael b. 11/1870 both seem to be born in England. They came to the USA, into MA, and then to Iowa. The descendants of Michael are still in Iowa, while the John Devaney family moved to St. Paul, MN. My grandmother Marcella b. 1903, was one of the daughters of John Devaney and Catherine Hussion.
I do not know the first wife of Patrick, mother of John and Michael. Patrick had a 2nd wife, Ellen Tarpy Hussion whom he married in 1879 in Vail, IA. Almost all of my Devaney relatives are located in Minnesota and Iowa.
