Okay, here's the deal: I am a DeVaney by marriage. My husband, Lee Ferris DeVaney, Sr., was born and raised here in the Dallas area. His dad, George Eugene DeVaney, Sr., now deceased, was born in Hillsboro, Texas. George, Jr. known as Buddy resides in Pflugerville, near Austin, Texas. Info on the DeVaney's beyond Texas is VERY fuzzy. I am trying to gather some info for the benefit of my stepson, Lee Jr. and for a family book I am working on. Does anyone have any info they can give me on DeVaneys who migrated from NY to Texas and perhaps some background on this. I know I am probably grasping at straws here but there are so many DeVaneys, somebody had to know something helpful to me. If you need additional information, let me know and I'll try to provide it.
