I am looking for information about Patrick Devaney or his relatives. Pat was born in Co Clair, Ireland about 1835. He was married to Catherine O'Neill from Co Armagh. I don't know when or where they were married, but he had four children, all girls, who were baptized at St. Patrick's Church in LaSalle IL 1872-78.

He died in 1880, possibly as a result of a fight. After he died, his widow moved to Chicago with the children.

There seem to be other Devaneys in the area at the time, but I am unable to make a connection yet to any of them. Any information would be appreciated.
